Â National Moth Week was a nation-wide push for hobbyists and scientists to survey moths anywhere, fromÂ porch lightsÂ to national forests. Â Though the Schrader Centerâ€™s moth night was rained out last Thursday night (and has been rescheduled for this Thursday), we have been able to do a several very fun and informative moth nights at Camp Giscowheco as part of our Junior Nature Camp program! Â Yesterday evening we were treated to a couple colorful moths at Giscowheco including the Ailanthus webworm and the Grape leaffolder, and some other interesting species such as a possible Walnut sphinx moth and an unidentified underwing moth.Â  Read more [...]]]></description>

The glory of Google fusion tables is that it automatically updates linked graphs, the downside seems to be that if you mess up the location of your graph it disappears.  I don&#039;t have access to the blog to fix the link, but it should be up and running first thing tomorrow morning!

It does seem like the spring is getting a head start on us this year, but this is my first spring in WV so I do not know when our spring beauties typically flower in the park.  I would be really interested to hear if yours come out a little early this year considering the warmth.

The information about spring beauty colors came from &quot;Spring Wildflowers Of the Northeast: A Natural History&quot; by Carol Gracie.  The book is stocked full of awesome natural history information!
