Sweet Saturday at the Schrader Center!

You don’t have to live in Vermont to get fresh maple syrup. Oglebay Institute’s Maple Sugaring Day takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24! The program begins in the woods behind Camp Russel. Enjoy a hands-on, outdoor program that includes a nature walk, demonstrations of maple sugaring techniques, history of maple sugaring, pancake-flipping contest and a pancake breakfast with fresh maple syrup.  Nature guides will lead groups every half hour through Oglebay’s sugar bush, stopping along the trail to discover maple-sugaring techniques from its earliest history through present day. Just $6/$4 for OI members. Reserve your time slot by calling 304-242-6855. This popular event usually sells out!
